In the beginning, Pastor Brady McGregor and realtor Holly Fain maintain a strictly business relationship. But when a murderer strikes twice and Holly is kidnapped, things rapidly get personal. Brady McGregor is a gifted orator and possesses a deep understanding of the ways of God. When his wife and young child are killed by a drunk driver, McGregor’s faith evaporates and his ministry comes crashing down around him. Disillusioned, he takes a job at a church in the sleepy California coastal community of Morro Bay. Preach on Sunday, visit the sick and bury the dead. It seemed an easy assignment — until a member of his church is murdered.
Holly Fain is an accomplished realtor hired by McGregor to help him find a new home. Their unexpected mutual attraction rapidly deepens their relationship, but also dredges up painful childhood memories for Fain. When Fain’s uncle is also murdered, McGregor and Fain are pulled into a vortex of blackmail, lies and betrayal.

I loved this well-written book. Gretchen did a great job in creating a suspenseful romance.
One man runs from his past wounds only to find out that God can find him no matter where he chooses to run and hide. Sometimes healing means walking through the wounds.
One woman who never thought she would be the same again.
Under unusual circumstances, they meet believing they were helping one another, they learn they have also helped themselves.
This story is all about how faithful our God is and how much He cares about His children and their wounded hearts.
All things are possible with God.
