CHAPTER ONE
“Mirror—Mirror—on—the—Wall, who is the fairest of them all,” asked wicked Queen Squippache as she began undressing for bed.
Mirror! Mirror! On the Wall! answered immediately. But, let’s learn a little about Queen Squippache before we hear what Mirror! Mirror! On the Wall! had to say.
The Queen was, as are some Queens in fairy tales, an evil one. But, she was, also, somewhat beautiful. Beautiful in the sense that, if you could look into her eyes you could see the beautiful woman that once was. But, she was not always beautiful either, as was just insinuated. Years before, she was very ugly — which went along well with her evil ways. Before this story that I am telling you now began to form, a wicked warlock had cast a spell on her that made her quite beautiful. It was his plan to find an ugly woman (because he couldn’t find a beautiful one that would have much to do with him) and make her beautiful. She would be very thankful, gracious and, uh, indebted to him. But, it backfired — as it would, because, he wasn’t really a warlock, but, just a crazy man deceiving a beautiful woman.
