In spite of what the obituaries might imply, we are not a dying breed!  The Baby Boomers, the largest age group in America, have not reached the top of the mountain to merely look down at the peaceful valley of the shadow of death.
We are not “Dead People Walking!”  We are not old fogies, living only to recall the wonderful, and, dreadful past of hippies, LSD, professional football in the snow, and, twenty-five cents for a gallon of gasoline.  Well, maybe, some of us are, but, not me.  This songbook is my gift to all of my old fogey friends.  Well, it’s not really a gift, because, after all, you have to buy it to receive it.  But, really, doesn’t every gift come with a price?  :0)

    Song List:
    1.  That Thing Called Love (quick, rock tempo – gospel choir shows up)
    2.  Winter in Our Eyes (rock w/heavy chorus)
    3.  I Still Remember (old-time rock and roll)
    4.  Without You (orchestral, easy, waltzy)
    5.  When the Smoke Clears (Jazzy, upbeat)
    6.  To My Door (slow ballad)
    7.  Where Do We Go From Here (on stringed instruments – cello lead)
    8.  Celebrate (you know, ‘celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music’)
    9.  Meet Me at the Restaurant (same as above)
    10.  A Woman Can Make a Man (a little bit country, a little bit Billy Joel)
    11.  I Sure Could Use a Flood (gospel light rock – the choir is back)
    12.  It’s So Good (country rock, but not twangy; celebratory)
    13.  This Country (stolen melody from “I love Paris” so now, just spoken)
    14.  Mountain Icing (think of Styx doing the Lettermen)
    15.  Victorville (big band, jazzy, snappy)
    16.  Rumblesticks (gentle acoustic guitar, spoken vocals)
    17.  I’d Write You a Song (Just wanted to make fun of Barry Manilow)
    18.  I WIll Be There (Well, HE wil be there – but, so will I)
