Content Guidelines
Full Sail books desires to offer family friendly reading based on a Christian world view. Your books and other content (such as book titles, cover art and product descriptions) must adhere to the content guidelines listed below. We reserve the right to make judgments about whether or not content is appropriate and to choose not to offer it. We reserve the right to terminate your participation in the Full Sail Books website if you don’t adhere to these content guidelines.
Our guidelines are pretty simple, really.
-
Read the 10 Commandments.
-
Don’t put anything in your book that goes against these teachings. For example, don’t leave the reader with the impression that adultery is okay. That doesn’t mean you can’t talk about it or portray it. Just don’t leave the reader with the impression that adultery, murder, stealing, lying, or any of the other admonitions found in these 10 principals is acceptable behavior from God’s point of view. If you want elaboration on how these principals apply to you, read the entire Old Testament and then the Gospels. That will give you great application! If you are still fuzzy or time is of the essence, I suggest you download Rabbi Daniel Lapin’s 30 minute teaching on the subject.
-
Pornography
We don’t accept pornography or offensive depictions of graphic sexual acts. See 1a.
Offensive Content
Use good sense. Profanity exists in the world but consider your reader when/if you use it. Our goal should be to inform, not intentionally offend. You’re a creative person, figure out a way to say what you want to say without being offensive. You want your reader to keep reading and buy your next book, right?
Illegal and Infringing Content
We take violations of laws and proprietary rights very seriously. It is your responsibility to ensure that your content doesn’t violate laws or copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Just because content is freely available does not mean you are free to copy and sell it.
